Pattern: Silhouette patterning in prints and jacquards continue to be prevalent; from botanicals and traditional scrolls to contemporary interpretations of Velazquez's Las Meninas. Asian and arabesque motifs were also popular and provided an interesting contrast to the bold geometrics and abstracts on display.
Finish: Low luster silver, gold and bronze were in ample supply across product categories. The subtle, sparing use of metallic accentuated the beauty of the fiber it was combined with, making for a very livable, contemporary, luxurious product.
Embellishment: Pleats and folded fabrics mirrored the runway; simple fabrics were transformed into intricate works of art by utilizing age old paper folding techniques. This trend not only applied to fabric but to accessories and to lighting as well.
